Check it out over at Computerandvideogames.com.

Sorry, but the article is really long, so I'm not going to post the whole thing. However, to sum it up, there will be 12 player online, and the game is akin to MK64 and DS, rather than DD for the Cube. They're going back to the basics, making a Mario Kart that we will all love. Also, there will be many classic tracks returning to the game. ;)

Here are some screens (clear ones are direct-feed, blurry ones are snapshots of a TV):

Where's chach? I'd expect that fanboy puto to be all over this like on a pig.

Seriously though, the concept of a steering wheel on the Wii is pretty badass, but how would you accelerate and brake, is my question...

Cool! Just saw a MK Wii clip at Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ThIBLy1tYg

It'll come with a steering wheel with a slot to put the Wiimote in.

Is that steering wheel compulsory ? Personally I think it kinda sucks

I'd rather press buttons on my wiimote or even a traditional controller than constantly waving that steering-wheel in my room, lol.
