i got it today. played for about 2 hours. Too short to make a verdict.
Hopefully tomorrow i can play online.
Steering wheel controlling is a disaster, nunchuk and wii-remote is much better.

Went to the store this morning.
The wheel itself is more of a gimmick indeed. It's fun for the 50CC races etc; but it's horrible to play multiplayer with it. I think I'll keep on using the NGC-controller.
Also there's an overdose of items on the track. If you lead the race you'll get bombed more than ever with blue shields because there are 12 players now.
Overall the game is pretty fun though; some new cool stages like that Koopa one :) |

Got it today, pretty impressed overall. New courses seem very tricky compared to previous ones but also have plenty of potential and as push2005 said once you get out in front you get absolutely twated! Last lap of one race i was hit by 2 red shells, 2 blue shells (one on the line, which lost me the race), one ground shaking thing and one lighting bolt!
Got through 100% on 50cc first time, halfway through the 100cc races at the mo. Gonna get them all finished and everything unlocked then start hitting the time trialing. Just a note on the TT im pretty impressed with the fact you can download other peoples ghosts and challenge them which seems an excellent idea. Not sure if there is an overall leaderboard of scores but we shall have to see.

what a game. played all lot of multiplayer online. Real fun and no lag.
The wii wheel is something i can't get used to it but a lot of players are using it online.

| I love it. Wii Wheel takes some getting used to, but on 50cc so far it's not too bad. I do feel that to get the best i'll use my gamecube controller however. Not got online yet so no friend code just now but smoe multiplayer races in the future will be good fun :) |
