yup I just stood still when Anthem started playing, ho hum...and then when he dropped TOOL as the last song, i *know* i started shouting, "NO ONE's SINGING with the song, get a FREAKIN' CLUEEEE!!!" and Drew started with the *DERRRRRR!!!* rants/faces and making everyone crack up. I think we all basically just looked at each other, rolled our eyes like "whatever" but still smiles all around and our hearts full despite that. I think we expected those to come eventually...and in light of how great the show was, we were all NOT disappointed, at least within our immediate circle -- vtec, joey, janie from cali, drew, Andy, Jen and Lee :D def had a killer time and definitely felt the love. :tongue2 this is probably going to be my last Summerstage ever and so I enjoyed it immensely. what a perfect way to end it in a way, paying tribute to the best Summerstage I ever experienced with 3 deluges of rain, and thank you Paul for making this set much much better than it was in 2005. Sound was phemonenal too i need to add, probably the BEST ive heard in years.

were their any problems bringing a camcorder?

You will not get a camcorder inside unless you hide it. And I even saw security telling some guy (with an actual made events press pass around his neck) to put his camera away......I couldn't believe it. I mean tons of people were taking photos anyways with their little digi's but I'm sure if you bust out a camcorder or SLR they are going to make you put it away. I'm sure it has something to do with PVD's management.....every year they get more and more anal about the photos and stuff. Last year somebody contacted me asking me if I knew who took certain photos because they looked like they were taken from right in front of the DJ book beyond the gates....and the people with photo passes said they didn't take them. I was like....are you kidding me??? The kid was just holding his camera over the railing taking photos.

No, I did not just get up at 5. But, I hurt my ankle while jumping and landing on some 'S umbrella, so I twisted my bad one, and thus couldn't go to Love.

Glad I at least saw Tom and Jay, and met Riz, but where were the rest of youse? I had these 3 potheads following me around, and yes, they peed in their cups because they couldn't wait for the bathroom lines any longer.

I flipped when he dropped "Incognition", and got really pissed nobody even KNEW that song! He played good chunks of his stuff: For an Angel, Time of Out Lives, Other Side, Nothing But You, New York City and Stormy Skies. Glad he also played "Without you Near", and VERY glad the rest of you also hate that damn, emo-trance, Anthem (although I know the lyrics, since they always freaking play it on Vonyc)!

Definitely a venue never to be forgotten, especially in the mud and rain. I know Jay liked that umbrella, rave, New York New York New York New York thing.

PvD had tons of energy, for guidos and non, so I had a blast! Ciao

Glad to see in this thread though, that some people enjoyed themselves becase I was getting a bad overall impression from people at Love :( :(

PvD's set at Amnesia last thursday was really really good (very hard and relentless), so don't give up the hope.

Oh crap! How dare I forget that he dropped "Constellation" and " Crush"! Sorry!

Jeez, my first trance event since December 1st '06 (A&B @ Pacha). What an awesome set!!! Some of those tracks were freakin' evil, I loved it! The set was harder, darker, and more techy than I thought it would be. Definitely the kind of set I'd expect from a German. When PvD is on point he's REALLY on point! I had an awesome time. I forgot just how exhausting these types of massive events can be though. I was pretty wiped out afterwards. I'll upload the vids from my phone in a while. It was great seeing everyone afterwards, even though I wasn't all that coherent :stongue: .

Hey Gilbert, I am glad you made it to NYC okay :-)

Did you get to meet all the NYTA's????
