well considering you guys sold the American colonists 'stamps' in order to collect taxes(we didnt take to well to that) theyve been around at least 200 years. do you honestly think that with 'advanced' civilizations in the past, a service like mail was free? even if its less than 200 years 150:20 years is an unfair comparison. plus most of the debate on e is not that it can kill you, but whether it makes HOLES in your brain. just cause there isnt research doesnt mean that its safe.

My only one, which I thought was the funniest thing I've ever heard:

~~~In Florida, it is against the law to go "Dwarf Tossing"~~~
OK, now think about that one. That means someone had to actually go "Dwarf Tossing" at some point, and some dwarf had to be offended. Now a good question: Has anyone ever been arrested for "Dwarf Tossing"?
OK, I have a sudden urge to throw a midget, lol.
:D
they had a thing about this on tv, so ridiculous! i was at my friend's and we were laughing our asses off! it appears they even have contests of who can toss a midget the furthest... now, when the law came out, some of the midgets protested it by saying that they are expressing themselves that way and no one can take away their urge of being tossed...:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :stongue:
all i would be willing to say is that there was one medical study where e caused adverse effects in people that had done more than 50 pills, and that it affected women more than men. will that stop me from ever doing it again? prolly not, but then again ive only done it like 4 times, and it wont be much more than that. you can put those chemicals in your body and not expect it to do bad things. late/
* Technically, "Down Under" (e.g Australia, where i live) is on top and the northern hemisphere should be "down under". why?
When you use a compass, the north end of the compass points to the North pole. Shouldn't 2 North magnets repel? It's because the North Pole is actually a magnetic South pole. So The North Pole is the South Pole and the South Pole is the North Pole :eyes: hehe
* I heard that Earth has been through 4 major extinctions, which we can see by looking at past stellar events. These 4 include ones like the current (us), The last one (The dinosaurs) and 2 mysterious previous ones. *What if* the 2 previous mystery extinctions were made up of completely different lifeforms, maybe beings more advanced in technology than we currently are, but they got wiped out by a supernova, and all evidence of their existence was vaporised (literally, that is why there is no fossil evidence, the life on earth must have experienced a quick, violent extermination, which vaporised the surface of the earth.
* Einstein married his first cousin. I had complete admiration for the guy until i found this out. :eek:
* If you shoot a bullet out of a gun horizontally, say on a salt lake plain, and at the same time, drop a bullet out of your hand, vertically, they will hit the ground at the same time. (forget air resistance)
* Arnie only had 17 lines in the movie Terminator.
* This one rocks - if a FLEA weighed 1 gram, it would be ~2 kilograms or ~4 pounds when it does its flea jump, because it experiences accelerations of ~200 g (g-force). I dont know how heavy they are. Lets just say 1 gram :p
* Fastest speed of any human-made object is ~40,000km/h, a satellite, around saturn or jupiter or some planet...ohh forget that one! :p
* cats average 16 hrs of sleep a day, the fat bastards.
* The best place to be in a nuclear bomb blast is at ground zero, you will only get blown apart or mangled, rather than vaporised if you were further out. just incase.. LOL! :toothless
* Scientists were concerned about some experiments in an acceleration chamber in the US a little while back because they *thought* that they may possibly be producing SUPER-DENSE atomic particles that had so much mass that they could form black holes and swallow up the earth. :eek: :eek: :eek:
