I work at Canada's Wonderland...I checked out the construction today, they've got all the track laid out for the lift, which is going to be built over italian job...not sure how they are going to do that as the park is still running on weekends for another two months. they are really hoping this ride brings in big attendance numbers next year, its the most expensive thing they've ever built by far.
They are nearly out of space up there, in order for the coaster to be built they ripped up some old buildings and relocated a few others...and the coaster is partly going over the parking lot. |

when I rode this I thought my heart was going to come out my throat on the first drop. I mean, you watch the ride the whole time you're in line but you never really expect it to feel the way it does. I love it. |

What's it like working there? I've always wanted to work for Wonderland... maybe next summer. I'm sure it loses it's novelty after awhile. |

| It's not too bad...i'm a manager in the electronics shop, I look after all the audio/video, the games (like whac a mole) and the telecommunications network. Its a pretty fun atmosphere to work, tons of young people around although i'm getting a bit too old for the place. I used to go on a lot of rides at closing time last year but not so much this year, I guess I got tired of it. The worst part about that place is the hours, I had my first weekend off of the summer last weekend, so i've missed out on so many trips my friends have been on. The pay is okay but not enough to keep people around so its like a turnstile of people coming through. I don't know if i'll be back for next year, which is too bad cause I would be able to ride the Behemoth before the park was even open! |

That sounds like a pretty sweet job.
How late does the place stay open after close for staff to ride the rides? I can't fathom what it's like to ride the rides with virtually no lineups at all. Do they keep all the rides going for this or do they keep a couple open for a while and then switch to another couple rides so that only minimal staff still have to work?
Are there whole days where the park is open to just staff? That'd be so awesome. |

Ok let's cut all this bull and plan a TOTA invasion of wonderland already.
Dress code in effect: tube tops, mini skirts and high heels for the girls; tight shorts with constant erections for the guys (Viagra will be provided).
Get 'er done! |
nice, at least I'll have an excuse for wearing my speedos.
this needs a roll call a week before :D :D :D  |

They don't keep the park open longer for staff, but if you go by a ride when the park closes (around 10) the rides staff don't mind if you hope on for the last ride of the day, usually they come on with us as well. Since I look after the audio equipment I can always hop on and say I want to hear how the speakers sound on the lift...I can go on Skyflyer for free too. In the beginning of the year before the park opens its training time for all the rides, you can always hop on then too. 90% off food day is good too..funnel cake for 37 cents! |

| They have this ride at cedar point, ohio...it's called the millenium force there. It might not look like much without the loops, but it kills. The drop alone is worth it...but don't go on it in the rain, the drops feel like sand blasting on your face. |
