I went to this and i definitely wasn't feeling diggers. But i left kind of early so maybe he got better as the night progressed.

The best part of the entire night was when some french canadian f*cks tried arguing with me about stealing a spot. Let's just say they weren't arguing for long. :D

Btw....nice chillin with you again brian.

How was the sound system sounding? What was diggers playing? Electro? prog?

I was only there for about 1.5 hours of his set. it was very electro and monotonous, it was very boring. the sound was excellent though.

was the place packed?

not really, but there was defintiely a good size crowd. the dance floor was packed, but there was some space upstairs and in the basement.

i almost made the trip up for this, but then I knew that Digweed was going to play an all over the place set. I will see him next time around (maybe NYE) The best place to see him right now is Japan. He is loving the scene over there this year.

it seemed like the set was going nowhere. he didn't even tease the crowd with any progression in his set.

*** that could have changed after i left ***

I am sure he put some on after he saw how he was getting a dull reaction from the crowd, but why put it off until the last 60-80 min of a 3-5 hour set? He will end it with a classic prog track for sure, but it is so not worth the stay to wait sometimes. Seeing Digweed @ crobar a few times last year, that is exactly what happened.

It was packed on the main floor all night that we were there. We walked around the right side to see if we knew anyone and it was FOB central. Might not be problem for everyone, but when your asian girlfriend is groped by 6-8 guys in one pass through the area, it's a problem. To be honest, she'll never go back to Pacha as a result. It was really close and we skipped Zabiela because of the venue, but there's nothing positive about the place.

As for the music, this was the worst Digweed set that I've heard, close with his August 2004 set at Crobar. That was the only time that he'd disappointed me up until tonight. We left at 5 and I was hoping that it would get better, but barosoap wasn't having any thought of staying any longer...

In sum, the set went ing nowhere and I'm pissed that I skipped Lee, not that I expected Webster Hall to be better.

LOL, his August 2004 set was my first/last time ever seeing him play. THAT WAS WACK and the music was so boring I left Crobar at like 5 AM.
