If people dont like trance so why do you play trance at these parties? And if you dont like anything else, what are you even doing there?
I'm totally that attitude of "superstar dj" who only play what they like without considering the public's taste. People just won't like you if you play something they're not into. And you have no right to tell them they're stupid or whatever because they don't. |

Of course you should be playing what you like and not what the crowd likes. Then again if the crowd doesn't like what you're playing you've been booked to play in the wrong place but that's usually the promoter's fault, not yours. |

This pretty much sums up the whole thread |

i'd like to use a biblical comparison here.
when you first get into dance music, trance is like being naked in the garden of eden. you don't know any better so it's all good, standing around with your bits about. you're having a grand old time.
once you eat a bite of the fruit of knowledge, however. things change
you realize you're standing around naked in a garden, ie there is a lot more than first met the eye. you might have been happy listening to the same radio show every week, but now expelled from a state of trance, you will be perpetually unhappy with your music taste, always searching for a new sound that will bring you happiness.
also in this biblical metaphor, god isn't as good as he used to be and he's getting poppy. and there is no woman made from your ribs, but rather a trainspotter with a tshirt that he hasn't washed since he started seeing pvd 'in concert' |

| If your ashamed of trance, you shouldn't be spinning it. |
