You mean those who read the Gauzette? ;)
under 100$ might be a hard find if you want to be really close from the action.... check the ywca for 80$ a night on orbitz.com |

Yes, there was a ramp at the bottom of one of those streets.
Bein non, du monde s'es deux côtés, mon chumb. On jazera la d'sus s'une brosse s'tu veux.
I see 110 is the norm in the area. tx |

Looks like Taschereau is my only home on the S.Shore.
So, we'll be at the event tonight. If you see me, say HI! I'll br wearing the same shirt and hat.

Buddy has his sights on Crescent, and my understanding is that that stip has changed since I spun there back in the days, so this is why I'm looking at this event, so I need to convince him. |
I made the horrible mistake of going out to party on Crescent street last Saturday. If it's general clubbing with crap top-40 music and picking up girls, I'd strongly recommend going to places on St. Laurent instead, since they piss all over the -holes on Crescent street (esp in the latter category). If you're looking for Irish Pubs it's not that bad though.
So what's the deal with this event, do I need to get a ticket from someone or do I just show up and get in free? I'm gonna try to juggle this and Audiofly I think. |

When i came in, i was told that porter didnt show up..
wtf
Lots of money was on the decor and everything
A smaller room would have made the party much better
Sound system was good
Lighting wasnt bad at all
Max Graham was on the decks when we came in
Only heard two tracks
I found you - Dubfire remix
Crowd was very different than i thought
Some very young kids and some older people too
Next time if i was bacardi, i'd put more money to bring djs that never played or rarely play Montreal
with one or two solid openers
And the party is going to be kickin :)
I hope everything went well for maher
Cheers |

maher started around 945pm and played a warm opener, the proper way to start a night...no complaints on my end for his set...warm, deep, sensual: what a warm-up set should be imo. once again, good job :)
porter came on around 1115pm i think...lots of fun tracks, overload of energy, it was like he was playing his style from 2 years ago. remember porterhouse in MTL at stereo sept 16th 2005? ya, like that...:) funky, fun, fast, a little chicago house inspired music meshed up in there...he has so much energy behind the decks. he was rocking out and he enjoyed it alot :)
dance floor filled up around 1215am and porter was playing to a crowd of people who had NO clue what they were hearing. VERYYYY young crowd (i think mainly 1st year mcgill students). reminded me a bit of a university frat party minus the bad music :p the crowd was not in any way whatsoever a SAT crowd. but they were all ing drunk and high and annoying and god knows what. and they were LOVING it. so, good job i guess...whatever floats your boat y'know?
max came on around 1am and i was too tired to pay any attention to his set, so i sat down on those wikkid cool leather couches they had lining the room and sipped mojitos and watched the fools dancing ridiculously around me for my entertainment hehe :p left at 220am, place was slowly emptying out.
it was fun :) til next time, peace... |

Quality night, showed up at around 12 or so I think, stayed for an hour or so of Porter's set then went to check out Audiofly at Tribe, got back around 2ish in complete gong-show mode. Highlights of the night were slipping and bailing outside of SAT, and then somehow managing to lock myself in a stall in teh bathroom, attempt to climb out despite 15+ people trying to dissuade me (thanks Maher! ), only to have some random guy open the door from outside in one try... GONG-SHOW.
Haha, had a good time though, was too drunk to remember much of Max Graham's set but he was playing some good . Crowd was like Erika described, children for the most part, but that's aight because I like acting like a child. |
