Kopi =o.

My exgirlfriend ate candy for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

she wasn't exactly good at using her brain.

Speaking of depressing, I found out a few days ago that a TA forum member passed away. Jmanch was the name he used here, and on myspace. I don't know the details of his demise. He posted in the production forum quite often. I didn't really know the guy, think I just corresponded with him a few times. Seemed a nice guy, and a promising producer.

Hate to drop that bomb here, but I thought maybe some of you would want to know.

His friends are leaving messages on his myspace page, link below.

i think sometimes people can get depressed making music because they cant get anything to go with what there making and it can get frustrating and sometimes depressing but when you least expect it and play around with sounds youll get right back on track or simply taking a break and listiening to other artists and sounds could give good ideas

I tend to get more frustrated when I start a track with zero direction and just go with the flow. If I jot some notes down or know what I want to do with my track it tends to roll along much easier...

yes sometimes its better to do a track in sections rather than trying to finish the whole thing at one time you come back with something creative and inspiring but again it all depends on the time you put into it as well

As a matter of fact, it kinda works backwards for me. When im down, depressed, or just pissed off @ the fuccing world I jump into the lab. I turn on my monitors, MIDI, PC, and I escape into this completely other world that I can actually manipulate and control. When you start off with nothing but silence, and create a track from scratch its art in the making. An art that you may only understand once its finished, but at the end of the day you were away from all the bull for a couple of hours. I think it's great therapy for n e one that has a passion for it. I hope one day this epiphany hits you lol

music is the remedy for any ed up day lol and producing also creates that threshold for everything wrong with your day only to turn it into something massive and bangin!!!!

I just want to say YES sometimes you might feel lonely.

But it has NOTHING to do with music.
*LONELY* has nothing to do with ANYTHING but YOURSELF.

Like they say "being alone and being lonely are 2 totally different things".
I can get into psychology because I do therapy but I won't because I don't want to accidentally make you think its not okay to feel lonely.
Its when you think its wrong to feel a certain way that actually feeling that way makes you feel wrong. Thats the only advice I can really give you and you have may have to reread that sentence a few times to understand it.
Its ok to be mad, stressed, angry or sad. Its when we have this overwhelming misperception that we shouldn't be feeling that way that actually amplifies w/e emotion we're experiencing. And I've gotten into psychology like I said I wouldn't lol.

Just put it this way. Use music as a channel to express and ride those emotions right from your head and onto your keyboard.. sequencer.. and into something beautiful, regardless of how other people will hear your music, its a deep, intimate, and raw expression of the human condition. Thats why all music is beautiful, no matter what it may sound like to us we should all take it as a compliment. Just like someone shares a deep secret or emotion with you and you get an ego boost, thats how music should make you feel.

Also don't forget if you spend too much time making music and not actually listening to it (from other people) you'll naturally throw off that emotional give/take balance in your head and it can make you feel unbalanced.
The human mind is a beautiful thing.
