I hadnt seen him sicne 8/05 when he was there with max graham so it was nice to see him again. I can say this for the little bit i got to watch him up there, he was all over the keyboards and midi controllers, ableton was worked the man does some he aint just playing solitaire up there. he is so into what he does, that is good stuff.
Beautiful things was actually the song when i got there, i was surprised but the crowd loved it he was letting them all sing along (okay i sang too, lol) |
I'm all for him slowing the tempo down a bit but not for pretty much the whole set, it was ridiculous and not what pvd is about at all. Beautiful things was a peach but at that point I'd lost interest in the set and the night. Amazingly people stayed and cheered but couldn't help feel everyone that was there for pvd and not just a night out was left wondering what the he was playing at. The oddest pvd set I've ever heard and hope I never hear again! |

Took a few pics, but not many.

Butt of a night. Double-disaster on an epic scale with plenty of elevator action and timmeh-ass bull all night long, and that's all I gotta say about that. |

Holy . PvD was awesome. I like the way he toyed with the audience. Awesome tracklist and pumping energy as always.
Oh and Eric Prydz destroyed the ing terrace. Holy , I need to find a tl for that set. Good seeing all the TA's I haven't seen in a while. |

I can kick ur ass for making it to this show and not in June. |
Yah.. Me and Wilyruk dragged him down from Orlando.. =)
My thoughts.. For never seeing PVD in Space before I would have to say this is by far a religious experience.. I loved ever moment of the set.. I like the change between the faster and slower bpm trance/tech/house sound.. Not big on IDs but heard New York City and Anthem.. Crowd seemed mezmerized by his set.. I thought I heard him trip up a few times but everyone is human, even PVD, and he picked up quick and kept going..
TA turnout was pretty thin.. Good to See Relik and Eric, EPDarks, BDR, ikhouvanu, nfekted, DA, DreamBeamz, and all the others...
All and all he made a 4 hour set fly and I would defintely do it all again if I had a chance.. Hope to see more TAs out next time for a blast..
Get ready for SVD!! I hope he goes for a 4 hour set as well..

DA this set ended up getting alot worse after you left. I would say it was worse than all three of those. Anyhow no prob on the VIP. We will stomp on ATL one day soon hopefully. |

You must have been high on crack to have enjoyed that from start to finish. |

Funny thing is I talked to a lot of house-heads that were there for Prydz on the terrace but had caught PVD, and they echoed your exact sentiments. When I told them I was not impressed by what PVD did they could not believe me, and all said they liked the fact PVD played deeper, slower bpms and vocals. Oh well, guess I could have lived with it better if he would have structured the set differently ala how Corsten does it. (i.e. - start slow and build it up to faster harder , not vice versa how PVD did). He really spoiled us in June with a 140+ bpm set start-to-finish, and I was expecting part II. Oh well, as i said before stiil had fun partying with the maniacs in the asylum we all know as Space. That is what it is all about in the end. |

:( :conf: :( :conf: :conf: :( :conf: :(
well if he is trying to alientate his the fans that got him to the top(and maybe create a new more house driven fan base) he is doing a bang up job! dude u played we are alive :(
and he also kept turning the volume up and down a few times at the end :( . maybe they had tech. issues but if they didnt :( .
u gotta string at least one freeking hour of good tracks together for the love of god! THIS IS MIAMI believe me we can abosorb the energy real easy. we get low bpm house EVERY WEEKEND! LMFAO why do u keep repeating tracks wtf!
im fuking disappointed. |
