sorry, but growing up in the 80s as i did, for a while i didnt think i liked music coz everything was so awful. but then, in the early 90s, i discovered 80s metal, and realised it was the one saving grace of an entire decade.

The 80s were a fantastic time for music. Admittedley, there was a LOT of crap produced in the 80s...but the same could be said of most decades.
And no, 80s metal is not the saving grace of its time. I'm sorry.
