Though I do not necessarily agree with them on the RIAA thing,I can hardly fault them for it - stealing is stealing.

If they actually made music worthy of stealing, it wouldn't be an issue at all. Why steal Metallica though? That's like walking into a bank with an assault rifle and holding one of the tellers up for one of the free lollipops behind the counter. The really bad-tasting one.

My head will explode trying to think of anything worthwhile in the 80s.
Bunch of Top Gun homos with pianos for that decade.

+ a good portion of the R.E.M. catalog :)

I think what I like the most about the 80s was that some of the best music of the time was really popular. Unlike nowadays where the commercial/pop stuff is really, really lame and not quite even music, really - the 80s seemed to have a lot of good music acts getting recognition. I could be totally wrong though - maybe that is just how it seems looking back at any decade - that it takes a long while for the 'good' stuff to surface and then suddenly everyone remembers how good it actually was when they in fact payed little attention to it at the time...

sorry, but growing up in the 80s as i did, for a while i didnt think i liked music coz everything was so awful. but then, in the early 90s, i discovered 80s metal, and realised it was the one saving grace of an entire decade.

I agree completely. I loved Motley Crue. Couldnt get enough. And just when I heard Zepplin was coming to Phila.the drummer John Bonham, he died. Van Halen broke up. Yes was great in concert. Ozzy was amazing. I was actually scared at the Spectrum. Pink Floyd what can you say. And the list goes on. And now on to the 70's. Disco was the . I just wished I was old enough back then to go to Studio 54. And do some Disco Biscuits that the bartenders were handing out like candy right over the bar!! It was the place to be and be seen back then. The good old days: SEX, DRUGS, AND ROCK AND ROLL. Oh, and by the way, if you want to know what the 80's were like go see Van Halens new tour this year. I cant wait. I missed them 23 years ago and I wont this time around:crazy:
