DJ Eco live @ White Beach (8.16.07) [DL!!!!!]

Hey everyone, here's one of the several recorded sets I played over in Italy. This one was recorded at a beach party called White Beach in the city of Cattolica. It was a relatively small space, probably about the size of Love, which, for a beach party in Italy is considered uber-small, but that's probably the reason why I liked it so much! This was the closing set of a very commercial set that was played before me (commercial summery house, like Sinclar and Guetta, and e), but the DJ started playing some D Ramirez and Booka Shade stuff toward the end, so I took where he left off (on a bit of an extreme though hehe), so it is a very summery mix of tech and house, not my usual thing, but it was perfect for the party, any lighter or heavier with the sounds and it wouldn't have worked... Anyway, just got this from my friend who recorded this one over there, so I'm passing it on to you!!! Enjoy!!!

| Listening now, good marcello.... Did'nt know you became so "minimal" and techie/experimental? The dark-twisted sounds/melodies are good, opposed to the clicking and popping techno. I like it the best towards the end when it gets a bit more tribal, but its prob cause i dig tribal house/techno a lot (hehe). |

Yeah, this summer was all about trying different sounds, as cliche' as "different" seems nowadays that everyone's playing "different sounds", but I really molded a different mix everytime I played to custom fit the crowd really. There was a really funky party I played at another beach party called Rock Beach, that a friend of mine is sending me my set, where I go into breaks for like 40 minutes, so this summer was all about having fun with the music, and not really sticking to one particular genre

haha not quite... i played from about 330-410, but this place is one of the very few unlucky places that has to close early cos its close to a hotel area... for the most part, all the other beach parties are in the middle of no where, plus the clubs are in the mountains, but theres a few places that get complaints... also, i was added on very last minute, one of the other guys couldnt make it, so i got called the day b4 to come play... it was fun tho, i never played on an actual beach b4! |

I was wondering the same thing. Eco were you just playing minimal set because of the crowd or you turned into a minimal head? |
