Can you blame them? :conf: Considering the USA's reputation worldwide, I'm not surprised they have flinch reactions. I had a flinch reaction when I read it myself. |
Actually, I don't. (I come from a country that got royally shafted by US foreign policy, which the effect still lingers today. So I scrutinize everything US does with hawk's eye)
But I laugh at people who can't overcome that flinch and bias, and refuse to examine things beyond face value. (Mostly just to satisfy personal bias, I've found) |

No, I think our gardeners are Italian, strangely enough.
The surly stereotype only applies to the Mexican men who sit around drinking tequila all day. The women work, especially the ones over age 25 who are trying to support their 12 illegitimate children.
(So who haven't I offended yet?) |

A toofer referendum...should we join the NAU and is it finally time to upload Quebec to France and the EU?
Somehow I doubt that the NAU's linguistic mandate will include French...that should do the trick. |
ooh, a bit of a francophobe are you ?
Lets play along...
The only thing that distinguish Canada from the USA is Quebec... you guys are just americans that don't want to come out of the closet! ;) |

Ha ha... if that would happen I would move to Quebec and then from thereon hopover to France, where I'd settle myself permanently. At least I like to think that ;)
(although my mom lives here and I suspect she'd be unhappy about the situation :() |

It's funny, because it's true in so many ways. |
