Today i was at the grocery store, and i bought two boxes of cinnamon toast crunch (and some other stuff). but the boxes were supposed to be 2 for $4.00. but they rang up as $3.19 each. i saw it on the recipt and was like, "well, wtf is this?" so i went back into the store to the customer service desk, and they were like, yeah, it's not right, and gave me the difference. ended up getting $2.50 back. not a big deal, but i still think the idea of going back and being charged what you were supposed to be is a good idea.

anyone ever do that? as a consumer, do you stick up for what the price is/should be?

i would have done the same..

however if i saw the receipt when i was at home it probably would have been like "ah the 2.50".. wont bother going back..

yeah, i think i would have done the same too. but i was just in the parking lot, so i was like, why not?

The stuff is already over priced. Not going back gives them more incentive to raise them.

i used to hate people that did that, at the register....like these old ladies who would do it, "omg that's supposed to be $1.99 not $2.09". would get me so pissed. its like, don't waste my time, go to the customer service people afterwards.

but now, i'm like, whatever

if you live in the awesomest country in the world you will often get the incorrectly charged item for free.

if i realize it at home, then i don't even bother. if i'm at the store and i realize it, if it's under about 4 dollars or so i won't say anything...
