We asked professional chefs nationwide to join the National Chicken Month celebration in September by sending us their favorite chicken recipe. We received entries from all over the country, from chefs who represent the full range of foodservice. The National Chicken Council's partner for this contest, Plate magazine, cooked up the top entries and chose the winners based on originality, taste, appearance, ease of preparation, appropriateness for foodservice application, and best use of the product. Winners receive cash prizes and recognition in Plate magazine. Congratulations to all the winners!

How about halászlé soup? (it's not chicken, I know, but it's still delicious, don't you think?) ;)

Oh yummy! :tongue2 You don't know what you're missing! I ate it on a few occasions, and last year I went on a visit to Hungary to Lake Balaton and stayed a week, I ate it there like three times... And I would eat it again if I could, even just now. They made it awesome. You just have to be careful with the fish bones, that's all. I don't know why some people think it's nasty..?? To me it's seriously one of the best Hungarian dishes I ever ate.

(My grandfather is Hungarian too, but he wasn't born in Hungary)

Blech, I'm sooo picky about the kind of fish I'll eat.

It's sweet-water fish, like carp... and they give you a nice slab of dark rye bread with it, it compliments the soup great, uhmmmm delicious :)
