I can't help but laugh at people who think that Get Physical is "underground." It's far from it in the grand scheme of things. And just because a certain type of music doesn't get played on the radio here in the States doesn't mean a pop artist wont ever hear it. They're artists because music is their passion, and they'll know more about it and where to look for what they like than the average person (see: radio listener).
Plus it's not like the sample was any good in the first place, in my opinion. |

I've always been skeptical toward Get Physical's ways. Turns out it wasn't in vain. They are very club-mainstream-oriented but just hide behind the cool/hip tech house tag. |

well it just comes as a suprise to me because tech house isn't exactly the most mainstream style of music. Booka Shade, pony, Jona, Electrochemie...way more underground than Black Eyed Peas, right? |

There is barely an underground anymore.. its just there's enough listeners of a lot of niche music genres to create 'celebrities' and big labels only really recognized by their respective scene and some more adventurous listeners.
Same goes for any leisure activity nowaday... like poker.
Actually poker stars are more famous than djs now lol. |

really. well i sort of came over in the past year or so to music like get physical from asot and tiesto and the like. is get physical mainstream as you say in only the niche tech house genre or in edm in general? im just curious. Maybe you're saying that just because of Heater?
in that case list me some true underground artists :D |
