Accused and kicked out - Advice needed!

So I was at a grocery store doing my shopping and out of many things I had in my cart I bought 2 kinds of salami. As I was walking around I noticed one of the bags was ripping. So not wanting the salami to fall out I shoved it into the other bag with the other meat and left the ripped bag along with the price tag on top of the bag with the meat.
Continued shopping...
All of a sudden this lady grabs the empty bag on my cart and takes off...I was like WTF? She comes back like 1 minute later with another guy. They stand on opposite sides of me and start yelling at me..really in LOUD! Accusing me of stealing! Saying "Oh isn't it cheap enough for you?" I try telling them that I kept the other bag with the tag so I can pay, but they just said "Yeah right u were gonna throw the bag away." Then they ordered me to leave my cart and escorted me out of the store yelling at me telling me to never come back or they will call the cops.
WTF??!?!? What can I do? |

Go back and apologize. I know you weren't doing anything wrong but they did so just humour them so you can get your shop on.
And by apologize I mean explain in detail what you did. |

go to another store.
the only time you go back to that one is when you have the s really bad, drop a dump at the front entrance for them to find when they come early in the morning to start their day. make sure you leave an empty deli meat bag next to it so they know where it was derived from. |

Hahaha all great advice..
But I was more asking about could I go to the police? I mean if I did would they do anything about it? Could I sue them for defamation of character and false accusations?? like that.. |

Um, no, that's retarded. If they put your face on a "wanted for shoplifting" poster and plastered it everywhere outside, then maybe you'd have a case. They may be s, but they didn't break the law and they didn't injure you, they just inconvenienced you.
We live in a free-market society. Let your wallet do the talking. If that's their idea of customer service, you don't want to be doing business with them. |

The fact is, you didn't steal.
Shop somewhere else. Send a letter to management, and let them know you will not be shopping there anymore, and why. |
