My parents think that I'm a wonderful Virgin girl, who goes to school and comes straight home.
They think they know me but they have nooooo idea, lol.
I love them a lot! I did have a huge problem with my parents around a year ago but we sat down and talked about it and things have been better ever since :) *simply put* |

My parents are fantastic. In fact, ever since I "grew up" and moved out they've been more like friends than parents. I can even go drinking with them every now and then.
Even as a teen I never had any problems with them - sure, we had the occasional fight and whatnot but that's what every teen goes through... |

That's exactly how I feel. Nobody should feel incriminated due to the actions of others. People who 'stick by their family no matter what' are idiots as far as I am concerned. Not because there isn't strength in the family unit, but because things such as love and respect should be earned, not given merely out of circumstance.
With that said, I love both of my parents - they have been divorced since I was 2, had several ty marriages ever since and put me through a lot of bull they didn't really want to, but they have also done a lot for me and I feel no shame in admitting that I possess many traits from both of them, even though I am in many ways a very different person than either. They have shown me a reason to respect them, and that is why I do.
Do I feel like I could tell them anything though? And not be judged? Not at all. My mom is a government spook and my dad is some sort of born-again er. :stongue: I barely talk to my mom and I hardly tell my dad anything of substance - is it because there is something wrong? Not at all. It's just the way my relationship with them is. |

what happened with you? my father tried to kill me and my mother. I don't wish death on him, just leave home and change your last name, and take other precautions. |
