| The thing is, even if people on this forum say they are not going to Ultra, there are sooooooooooo many other people from all over the world coming for this event. So unfortunately we can bitch all we want, but Ultra keeps getting more powerful ($ wise) each year that passes... |

If you are over 21 there is no reason to go to this!!
I get free tickets to Ultra since 5 and i piss on them and dont even open the envelope because i know what is the main driving force behind the event.
I mean !!!(They)have a "POLICE TOWER"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Has anyone ever seen that????????????
The city helps put on the event!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can say what you will about me talking cus i am!!
It anger's me to see the direction this event has gone in!!!!!!!!
A total drug bust on epic scale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So everyone knows, i work in a field that gets information about happenings in the city.As far as police and fire/paramedic department's activities.I have some of my best friends work as paramedics @ Ultra.The things that they see there are horrible!!!Kids and i mean kids having everything you can imagine that would go on at this event.
Let me tell everyone so you all know that (they) set people up for months in advance.They come on this website along with others that everyone knows and start making dialogue with people who are unaware of what is going on.They make contacts, so called friends and find out whos doing what.They don't neccasarily make the busts themselves but they give the right information to the right people.Just knowing someone who is stupid is a liability to younger people.
I'm not worried for myself but for others as it upsets and angers me at the demogrphic that they target!!! Ultra is the main place that they target youths.
1.Guess why they target youths??????
2.Guess why they dont have as many stings inside clubs during WMC!!
1.They always tell where they get things from,when confronted with jail time.
2.The police are hired by the club in advance.
Just think about it..
That's all im saying,If your going to Ultra have fun,but please listen to me and be careful and smart.
That's all the negative stuff i will write and you will not have me post one more thing about Ultra but please dont say i didnt inform some of you who will listen to someone who knows.

I get your point, but if people are so worried about getting caught by the cops with drugs at Ultra then they should not be doing drugs at Ultra, case and point. Why run the risk? If they want to get messed up tell them to take the $ they were going to use to buy the Ultra tix, rent a hotel room, play a cd and that's that! :p |

| Tekniquez my man what's up. I totally conquer with what your saying about the drugged up kids at Ultra. But I must say that having been at the multiple events 21+ for WMC, pool parties etc.. I have to say that what I saw on some of this other parties compared to Ultra was at times worst then what I saw at Ultra. I can say it was the same ratio and even less then other events. Now I do agree that seen kids messed up like that ain't funny, but seen adults or 21+ like that ain't funny either. What I'm saying is that it's become way too normal and people have become way too conftable doing it. People were snorting coke in mid day at places like the radio1, so not too much of a difference with Ultra on those terms. Now kids doing it that's just sick, but that's a triple down effect within the scene. |

haha hilarious post.
I've been to the last two ultras (am over 21) and I've had a blast. Yes, there are tons of kids who have no idea what's going on and, yes, it's very commercialized. But, honestly, once you step foot inside that Cox tent all those things don't matter anymore.
Looking forward to this, a night with SvD and Armada Night. I'm also praying for Sven to finally come but I realize there's little to no chance of that happening. |

for the most part.
I agree with you completly when speaking about the open and excessive drug use during WMC.I do not condone it nore do i support it.I do not however look down upon people who do this.It's your choice and so it would be at any age.
Be that as it may, when you have more than 65% of the poeple at Ultra under 21 doing copious amount's of drugs just getting into the scene.Getting "RAPED" by police and overdosing do to buying things at an event that they have no idea what really is.
That's not right.

We're debating wether it's right or wrong depending on age and in the end no one can win.My purpose for my post was to inform not disuade.I went to Ultra as i'm sure you did when you were younger and if i knew then what i know now i would have thought about my action's more.Not to say i would have done anything diffrent,:happy2: but that being said i would've liked the fact that someone told me what was going on |

| Fatboy Slim & Carl Cox was the highlight of Ultra last year hands down. The event is way to large. You cannont possibly see all the dj names they "advertise" to you. There good and bad things to say about this party. For this comming year the first few headliners need to be absolutly fantastic for me to re-attend for the 3rd year. Otherwise I'm back to Nikki beach and this time I'm a make it to Space in place of WeaKltra. |
