im pretty sure, for the majority of us posting here, we have a pretty good taste in this kinda music, we can (for the most part), tell good edm from bad edm. some of us being dj's some of us producers, some of us just like this kinda stuff.
what i'm getting too, is do you think samim would listen to heater and be like wao.... i really made the tiest track of 2007!
or armin would listen to his yearmix and when anthem comes on he goes like... nice! i just mixed in one of the worst songs ever made.
or are they just delusional |

music isn't always about art..its commerce, commerce = commercial, commercial = marketable to the masses which in turn = $$$ (stolen from djlemeir in mtlta simply because its the truth). I happen to like most of Sammims stuff and think he is very talented in making music that appeals to both underground and mainstream audiences. (Trentemoller is another king of this). Doesn't mean i have to like it all. Armin on the other hand is just and won't do anything underground until the day he dies a tragic death from falling on his head right off the decks while posing.

i guess this is just "worst track everyone's prob heard at least once" thread
cus really, browse Beatport's top 100 chart...or any top 100 chart in any genre.
You'll be surprised whats actually released out there. I hear such terrible music everyday browsing there, just cant name anything specific cus I don't pay attention to the names.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, theres WAY worse out there than Anthem or whatever else is being mentioned a lot here, trust me. |
