I don't know what's worse... stealing from various clubs, or bringing Tiesto to Chicago. |

Funny thing, that. I hear so many people trying to "be understanding". John Curley is a living legend. If you know anything about Chicago nightlife you know this. He's also an incredibly charming guy who has been succeeding for years by utilizing said charm to convince people that he's really a good guy. People who have seen through his act have been dropping out of the picture for years, viewing the rest of us as fools for being taken in by him. We haven't turned on anyone, we've simply seen the light. |

Yes, I quoted the wrong post, I meant to quote this one:

| You really don't need to defend your opinions to Yuris. Ever. |

Indeed, and what's more unfortunate is how long it took me to realize this.
Learn from previous users mistakes - don't feed the Yuris. |

right,
if this is about violation of law - then you guys are pretty selective about which laws you choose to voice our outrage over and the ones you violate flagrantly every weekend.
if this is about violation of ethics, see above
if this is about violation of trust, then how did Pure and its proprietors violate YOUR trust specifically? you dont own clubs or run promotion outfits, etc.
in the higher echelons of business this sort of thing isn't uncommon.
what has pure done for the city? its put Chicago back on the map in turns of EDM after chicago house music pretty much ran its course. Pure was able to leverage the resources, connections and the capital to bring in those huge names that introduced Chicago beyond midwest as something more than "Al Capone's city" which is what people in the world still generally think of Chicago. And then there was the largest EDM festival in the midwest, yada yada yada.
you "saw the light", that's great.
next time try looking farther ahead than the next weekend as well. |

| Hmm. Some pretty sweeping generalisations there. And some laughably hypocritical commentary as well. |

I don't know what's more sad, the effort he puts into essentially saying nothing with the sole hope of getting someone riled up, or the fact that he chose to quote me of all those posting in this thread when I've clearly never once said anything the Pure "situation", aside from supporting our friends who had worked for them.
Bravo - a true masterpiece in pointlessness.
And I'm glad you still have time for us even though you're putting in "80 hours a week." |
