Lost Phases Of A Dub Experience

Hints of a new mix (or more phases) had been dropped earlier, but i was done with the first trip. So it was just starting on a clean sheet now, i knew that i wanted to use some of the tracks that was left out the previous sets (hence the name Lost Phases). So i just started sketching up something, but i didn't want to do another downtempo mix. I wanted it to be all over the spectrum, representing things that i normally listen to, be it harder rock sounds or d&b or just hiphop. Decided also to not do of the moviesamples thing again, i wanted the tunes to speak for themselves.

Shoutouts: Jan, can't thank you enough for ALL of the advice & opinions though our conversations. Greg, dub another one for me. Boomer, thanks for hosting this behemoth. Also thanks to: Haak, Clovis, Rob, Jake, Bas, Asbrey, Chrissi, GrimReaper, Rob & Myra, Karim, N0bben, Snooper and also to EVERYONE that downloaded the first two mixes.

Right Then, Enjoy.

I enjoyed the trip, at least as much as i did with the previous phases. I can hear you've really put your mind into this to get so many different styles to melt together nicely and keep the flow. Great!

Hm, I think your previous installments were more succesful with me when it comes to tune selection. I miss some standout tracks here, even though the overall standard is generally quite high, and I like most of the tunes still. I had almost forgotten how good Ill Bill and Sabac can sound outside of working with Necro. Also, the flow of the set goes a bit wonky after Jamie Lidell. That Gus Gus tune doesn't really fit in between two uptempo rock/guitar tunes from Mars Volta and Refused IMO.

Analyses aside, there's a lot of good music here that people should get to know. Keep it up, uncle dub.
