Ok, I should've put a disclaimer at the beginning of my first post in this topic, smthin' that would read "Ignoring and irrespective of the title of this thread, I believe..."

TO is so cultured that it crowned an amazingly boring movie: eastern promise.... what a waste of time it was, i could have spent that 5$ on a bigmac.

btw that's a cute "bilka" you have in your avatar! LOL! You know that "ex" I've been talking about in my other thread? She's Ukrainian and she taught me all these cute words like "catchka" and "bilka"...actually that's about all I know! :p

I'm actually from Slovakia, but that's right next door... :) I know the word "kačka", it's the same in my language and it means a duck... a squirrel we call "veverička" (yeah - so long... the 'č' is pronounced like the 'ch' sound in the word duck). The only other Ukrainian words I know off the top of my head are "pysanky" which are the decorated painted Easter eggs, and the word thank you, which runs like "dyakuyu" (not sure of the transcription), and that's similar to my language too, we say "ďakujem", and pronounce it like "dy-aku-yem" (the 'd' sound is soft). Oh, and thank you for the compliment about my squirrel! I got it somewhere off an internet website and thought it so cute too, especially since I love squirrels (and cats), and I like being on the computer, that I thought it couldn't be more appropriate! :) LOL...

Good luck with your current lady, btw :)

I hope the MS Word copy-and-paste special symbols (accent marks) display ok...

Thanks for the thorough response, complete with pronunciation!!! AWESOME! :) Yeah, "bilka" means squirrel, my ex loved them too. We used to walk in the park and I swear to God she would stop to interact with every friggin squirrel that ran down a tree! As ridiculous as it sounds I found it kinda cute :p

...and thanks for the kind wishes! :)
