stealing cable is the best...hahaha
my buddy has this "special tool"...all he needs is to know is what gray box is yours and you got "free" cable. not really free cause he charges like 100 bucks...me and my buddies have had free cable for like 3 years...just recently got bell expressview but i still have one tv with just regular cable. whenever the rogers guys comes by my house and puts on a filter i call my buddy and he comes rips it out again...lol |

As a student I never paid for cable it was awesome... just order the internet the rest was easy haha |
Internet works off the lower band/frequencies (Chl's 2-6) so this will not work. As Chinamon mentioned there are filters inside a locked CSE (customer service enclosure) on the side of the house which would need to be removed to get the other analogue channels. Not that I give a what you decided to do but please be warned there are cable auditors that drive around who can tell what frequencies you are receiving and match it to your billing account. I also know of case's where the cable company has contacted the police for repeat offenders and they were charged with theft. |

| I've had stolen tv since I was a little kid. First it was those black box deals that got you all the channels plus the PPV movies. Then it was one of those DirecTV Satellites.. that one was a gold mine. So many channels! |

meh, if ur stealing (or as i call it, borrowing) analog there is no 2way communication back to any sever that rogers reads and hunts you down for. Digital is different, however digital requires a box, which requires an account, which requires the box to be in the correct zip code at least once a month to lock up to the correct server to recieve the correct "zap". without that zap the box goes into what we call 'Brick Mode' and instead of a clock u see - - - - .
srsly folks, if analog cable 2way communicated, rogers would have to send out thousands of 'truck rolls' of service techs to disconnect all your 'illegal extra outlets'. and that just doesnt happen cause it doesnt exist.
the only thing rogers DOES do regarding stolen cable is they send out what are called 'tap audits'. this is where a maintence dood heads out and reviews the tap and makes sure the correct people are on service for whatever levels of cable. this is only a frequent thing in high areas of repeat offenders. i.e. univ students/bad people.
lol. |

100 bucks is pretty cheap for 3 years non?
yeah i have heard stories of them checking up and stuff. they got me once but i just had my buddy rip the filter out again and the cable has been still going....maybe i'm just lucky...i think the key is just pay for the basic package and just "upgrade" for free cause that's what most of my buddies did and they haven't had n e problems |

assuming you live in a house not an apartment, open the big green box (should be on the boulevard). remove the filter. you'll have to know which line goes to your house though.
they're usually labelled nice and clear. lol.

easiest thing to do
take off the filter. remove the connector from the filter and re attach the two cable and voila you have all the channels.
if you wanna go even further like my buddy did.
take the filter and drill it out . slide it over the connectors so it looks like its still connected. |
