Yeah, I really wanna try something drastically different this year. Seeing Tiesto, or another event at the Arena's kind of getting jaded this year. Ughhh, original ideas anyone??? I'd love to catch an act somewhere different. Like... JOOF spinning in front of the Pyramids in Egypt... now that would be HOT.
CL & JOOF sounds cool @ SF, if that materializes!

You know, Astrix is playing in Mexico on Dec 29th.
Hmmmmmmmmmm..............
I always get my hopes up so many potential things based on where els a DJ is playing around NYE and about 98% of the time my hopes are dashed away. :p |

I'll pass on any massive events for NYE. TAO line-up looks great; just not the venue, or all the drugged-out kiddie ravers that will be there. Plus the weather = no no. I hope there's a dope local underground going on. |
Amen to that... |

| I'll be in LA over the holidays and might possibly come up to SF as well. :) |

I really dont understand all the anti-under 18 comments.
Do you say that when you go to disneyland or magic mountain? of course not. cuz they arent in your group.
just ignore them. without them the scene has no future. we are all getting older and many shelf lives are running out.
This is a scene for the young. It always has been.
Its kind of like that one line from Dazed and Confused. "I keep getting older and they stay the same age."
Dont let your age get to you. Dont let their stop you from enjoying what will likely be a phenomenal night. |

| The kids at Disneyland usually aren't cracked out and laying in front of attractions. |

| and my point is that you would be paying too much attention to them if you notice that. are you there for the kids or the music? |

I don't think anyone is against them partying.
It's more of against being at parties with them?
And you can't just ignore them. I remember one Monster Massive, I was asked at least 30 (AT LEAST) by some idiot if they could have some of my water or, more often, if I wanted to enter a whole new realm.
Or them sucking on their stupid pacifiers. How can you just ignore that.
And using theme parks as an analogy is ludicrous! Besides, most people I know will choose places like Six Flags or Universal (Florida) before Disney any day...and the common reason is that Disney is more for kids ! |

You know, i've seen and experienced people doing the exact same thing at Giant events.
In fact, i've seen the most ridiculous i have ever seen at Giant events. So it cant be that kids are the only ones doing it.
Anyway, to each their own. I just don't think its fair to one's self to exclude such an awesome event just because there will be underagers in the building. Every year I go with a group of people and we have a great time and never have to worry about the kids. I just think it shouldn't be that big of a deal. |
