Yea, Gerrit had mentioned that to me as well last night. Dave T told me that Deadmau's gotten on Stickam before and dj'ed... so I'm not sure. Maybe it's a "I'll dj if the price is right" kinda thing? |

I'm pretty sure you just hit the nail on the head - he's just another producer who hit it big with a few records, and now loads of people assume since he makes electronic music, he must also DJ, so there's demand for bookings.
When there's demands for booking there's also likely money, and I can't say that if I were in his place I wouldn't give DJ'ing a shot too.
I call it the "Andy Moor" effect - I just hope Mr. Mau5 has a bit more success at it than those who preceded him. :) |
