+1

Calderone was fantastic (as usual), especially the last 2/3 of his set...

Whoa, SWFT, thanks for the detailed play-by-play complete with pictures!!! I guess the pictures don't really do the place justice; based on the mind-blowing reviews I've been reading, I was expecting some more spectacular pictures showing some imaginary, exotic place, however it looks like a glorified warehouse like all the clubs do. LOL I was expecting a fantasy world or something!

I guess with improved lighting as you said, it might add something, but I guess the vibe has a lot to do with it, also. The ballroom looks really plain from your pictures and the smoking area is absolutely retarded!!! LOL!!! I would be visiting that area several times a night and there are few smoking patios as cool as Maro/Century Room that I've seen.

Will def check this out though...haven't even tried Muzik yet!

Overall, picture some mod/urban young professional nightclub where people go to talk about art and self expression....and thats CiRCA.

That's what I was afraid of. Looks like this is a combination of a club, museum, and art gallery, with emphasis on the museum and art gallery parts.

Thinking about it, i couldnt really picture CiRCA being a place id want to see many big DJs...not many fit the CiRCA scene i think....guv's a better venue for big djs and time to get crazy atmostphere.

i actually felt the same way

even though the main room is huge is still felt smaller then guv and didn't felt like it was made for a hands-in-the-air trance

but i felt that techno would really kick ass in there

sound system there is quite nice

but walking around the main floor was a tid bit scary in the morning :wtf:

i guess people just have different views on what a club should be but i didn't get that vibe at all.

i really felt like it is a place for huge parties to happen all the time. the stereo system is amazing, the venue is amazing!

that's funny because we were having the discussion in the morning about this place and in fact i think that a huge trance DJ would be perfect in there! bring on the trance party to circa. bring in all huge dj's. big dj's in all genres would bring an amazing party to the place and would be so much fun.

tiesto, armin, and ferry would be every one's best parties ever if they occurred at circa.
