Whoa, SWFT, thanks for the detailed play-by-play complete with pictures!!! I guess the pictures don't really do the place justice; based on the mind-blowing reviews I've been reading, I was expecting some more spectacular pictures showing some imaginary, exotic place, however it looks like a glorified warehouse like all the clubs do. LOL I was expecting a fantasy world or something!

I guess with improved lighting as you said, it might add something, but I guess the vibe has a lot to do with it, also. The ballroom looks really plain from your pictures and the smoking area is absolutely retarded!!! LOL!!! I would be visiting that area several times a night and there are few smoking patios as cool as Maro/Century Room that I've seen.

Will def check this out though...haven't even tried Muzik yet!

Heard amazing things of this place. Going on Thursday actually. :)

As for Muzik, it's just nuts from when I went there on Sat. It's huge, has a vaulted ceiling, very classy looking. I felt as though I was in Europe clubbing.

Sure. How can you say/imply that the key players at CiRCA aren't going to be focused on the music? Do you think Peter Gaiten doesn't understand the importance of the music? Are you kidding me? Do you think GEM Events and AD/D don't get it, or that any/all of the other booking agents and promoters that they are associated with don't get it? Give me a break.

Sunday night alone had Victor Calderone, Mark Farina, Mischief & Frankie, Doman & Pettigrew, Addy, Neno, Jonny White, Jason Miles, etc., etc. Every room has a high quality sound system. I found the sound in the main room at CiRCA to be equal if not better than the the main room at Guv. What more do you want from these guys?

Sure, there are are a few kinks here and there, but what new club doesn't have things that need to be improved? Give it some time -- this place has the potential to be world class, just like Guv...

And on that final note, I think Guv and CiRCA should emprace a spirit co-opetition (cooperative competition), rather cutthroat comptetition. IMO, this could lead to expansion of the market and be better for EVERYONE...

CiRCA is massive fun! So many cool things to do, exquisite sound system in every room, polite service, clean/safe environment.

CiRCA is a superclub.

this defies the basic laws of economics hahaha! if they are competing that means they will both be fighting to bring in the best DJs, have the lowest prices, best service, etc... to attract more people to their clubs so they can make more money, so in the end, we will all be better off as consumers!

Au contraire, mon ami. It appears you have little understanding of economics, organizational behavior or game theory.

If you are interested, check out the works of Adam M. Brandenburger (Harvard Business Sch.) and Barry J. Nalebuff (Yale Sch. of Management). Good stuff.

Agreed...theres a few more pics on my facebook (Bryan Swift) so u can check them out there but im not typically the one with a camera so my skills are ..and i couldnt figure out the damn camera, every photo said "this is blurry, save?" i just said yea....10 takes later and they'd still be blurry....

Yea those ballroom shots are pretty crappy cause the room is very nice indeed. The bar looks great..shoulda got a photo of it...also the SENSA BAR..forgot to mention that, SIIICK. Its not very big though, probably the smallest surface area bar but what shocked me is u dont even need to touch the bar!! just be about an inch or so away and it lights up!1 Got a video...lemme post em as soon as i figure out how...

CiRCA Vids:

Here is a quick look at the Sensa Bar. As you see you dont need to actually touch the bar. Very cool bar indeed..only bad side is..if you dont tip, everyone will know! (and if your a cheap tipper!)

Heres one of the tables on the 2nd Floor..I didnt stay here too long but im assuming these projections change throughout the night based off of the second video...

And here are the trippy picture frame/video/acid effect murals. The first one (first in the video, when you go left off the 3rd floor, these are on your left hand side..and i record them walking towards the stairs..i did see a 'turned off' frame so i guess theres another one! wonder what it will be). Anyways, the first one is white and appears to be small birds (u know the simple single line birds that look like two tops of 1/2 circles...) TRIPPY. The second is weird blocks, you can see Oz posted a pic he took of him infront of this one. And the third one is some sort of Acid colour trip effect.
