i have really terrible teachers this semester.
one guy is 80 and senile and does nothing but draw coaxial cables on the board. one guy explains circuit analysis on a powerpoint presentation. and one guy doesnt even understand the information hes trying to teach.
im not learning anything at all this semester!!! so im thinking about writing a formal letter of complaint, getting a ton of students to sign it (i know i can get the signatures) and submitting it to the dean. im just pissed im spending so much money and not even getting anything out of it.
its no wonder my university is on probation to lose their accreditation and motorola just fired every student they hired from my school.
its a ing joke. and the way the program is setup and the way the teachers are its not a surprise at all.
anyone have any experience with formal complaints like this? what i mean is, will they be forced to do anything about this if i get like hundreds of signatures, or can they just throw it under the rug? im just wondering if its worth my time. |

| transfer, get your good recs, then do it. the place won't change while you're there, so all you'll do is piss people off, even if it's good in the long run. |

i envy you. the only good professor ive had at this school (for two classes) is an independent hire, meaning not officially a professor and probably wont be around much longer. i learned a lot from that guy! every other teacher doesnt seem to give a . |

thing is, i know that i probably will have really bad professors for the rest of my studies. which is why im upset. maybe 2 decent professors in the 13 classes i have left.
i just dont want to graduate with a degree, then get hired and be clueless on what im doing, then get fired. that would suck. granted i learn a lot on my own, but i just feel like this university doesnt give a about me or any of their students and couldnt care less what happens to us after we finished giving them our money.
it really feels like a scam. even though obviously its not, the university just sucks. |

used to go to florida state university... not a bad school at all. could be a little better, but i NEVER encountered nearly as many problems or bad professors there as i have here. i spent 3.5 years there, and had the time of my life (a little too much, thats why i didnt finish there). this is only my 3rd semester at fiu, and its been hell since i started. |
