No new releases on Bedrock in well over a year. Did I miss the memo? What's going on?

Was there any reason for such a long hiatus?

And the Greg Downey mix totally doesn't count. :p

bedrock really needs to come back and release some huge progressive house tunes like they used to, the genre needs a new resurrection

gone were the days of helley and farley - rising sun (bedrock remix)

Everything is about minimal and electro these days

Between touring and other commitments, Digweed didnt have time to maintain the label, so put it on hold for a while whilst he decided what to do with it.

I predict that those of you expecting classic progressive this time around will be disappointed though.

Hasn't been a prog release since the collective ep in 05!

...might go listen to it now thinking about it.

yeah some of the stuff digweed is playing, mainly towards the peak of his sets, is slightly leaning towards more proggy stuff. still far too much minimal and electro around nowadays for my liking. i think producers and DJs should stop jumping on bandwagons and get a style of their own. but until they start doing that, im afraid there will be a lot more minimal and electro tracks being released than progressive ones. i think James Holden's view on the scene is relevant here when he says that if you have produced a record that sounds like something else and has nothing new to bring to the scene, then dont ing release it.

Those were the buzz words of the year; it was almost as if when you said you played minimal you were granted instant pass to coolness.

You could get away saying tech-house, or even just techno. Just don't say you play progressive!
