Speeding ticket but it was just an appearance and it so happened that I knew the judge so it was a slap on the wrist. He even dropped a few charges like driving with knowledge of a suspended license and a few other.
Speaking of your case I think that the whole thing is in' BS. I mean damaging a night club is one thing but people actually helping the cops to pin you. WTF I thought it was us against the establishment not occasionally breaking down and helping a flat foot convict a fellow club goer. Good luck man |

get a solicitor. you're in the uk and if you havent done a thing wrong before, you should be able to get it paid for you (forgotten what this is called).
if you're going to court ill assume youve been officially charged by the police. that means that they obviously have significant evidence to believe you committed the crime. you also mention there are witnessess... if there are they will have put in a statement to the police about the incident.. your solicitor will be able to get a hold of these for you.
what nightclub did this occur in, how bad was the damage? cost?
chances are if this is your first offence you will be given a complete or condtiional discharge meaning you only have to declare it for x amount of time (doubt it would be more than a year for criminal damage).
just remember, although what you did was wrong.. what you did wasnt violent, sexual, dishonest crime.. just drunk and stupid.
i wouldnnt worry to much mate!
but for heaven sake, get a solicitor!!! |
hey thanks alot mate! im very relived to hear this. Im gonna talk to a solicitor tomorow first thing, problem is I only have like 2 days left till the court date, so i dont think they can do much about it :/.
it was in a local night club in north east, i was too drunk but pissed off becuase they closed the club 1 hour earlier than usuall time. The picture is valued £150 acording to them. I'm hoping I dont get any criminal offence as this is my first time ever i been charged. I just cant afford being a criminal! arghhhhh
I really want to take my revange on the ing club for taking me to court for stupid reason! any suggestion? |

I used to work for a number of years as a revenue protection officer ( Ticket man - Trains ) into London and I quite often had to attend court to give evidence ect
Not to interesting really as the defendants rearely turned up and the only time they did was normally if the were already on remand for other matters by the time of the hearing.
I have to attend a few times as the defendant on 14 appreances but not for separate offences ( pre sentence reports ect ).
Based on what you have advised and being a first offence I should imagine you will be served with a conditional discharge / cost & compensation and maybe additional fine for drunk & disorderly depending ( You should have been advised on what the charges are while still at the nick. )
If you do get a conditional discharge DO NOT BLOW IT AND KEEP OUT OF TROUBLE ( Avg 6 - 12 months )
I was lucky enough to get this first time round but had to return to court for breach of conditional discharge / additional offences & battery / and later a breach of community work order and I cannot stress how much I regret that.
Should be heared at your local magistrates court and go something like this
- Arrive ( DO NOT BE LATE AND DO NOT MISS THE HEARING - If you do a warrant for your arrest may be issued )/ searched / then go to the listings for that day and check time of you hearing which will be on a board outside the court rooms / meet with your solz and pepare defense also confirm you attendance with the usher / the wait / the court usher will then call you in and you be led into the dock.
In my experience the judges are mostly not present at this time and you may be seated. When the judge(s) enter ( usually 3 ) you will told to rise while they take their seats and thensit back down when you are told to.
Prosecution will then give evidence and the charge ect. Put this time to good use and try and look scared ect ( Just shake your hands a little ect but not ott )
Your solz will give defense ( I told them the usaual I come from a broken home but didn't tell them I broke it ) if you have choose not to represent your self. After that you can add comments if invited to and the judges will leave th room to make a judgement. Then they come back to advise ( stand again )
So you will cry at how much compo you have to pay / how long you will be working in an old persons shop that stinks of piss ect.
You said you knocked a picture of the wall. How? Who saw? Could you not advised you were pushed / Splipped on a wet uncleaned surface / the picture fell off the wall and you put you hand out to stop it? |

FULL STORY, NOW.
I went once due to not having proof of insurance. I was insured but, I had the incorrect paper in my car and it showed an expired date. On my court date I went into the court room, which was completely empty, and the judge asked me what my plea was. I shat right on the spot because I was so scared and then I ran from the courtroom. I'm actually posting this reply from jail. :( |
once for painting F**K YOU on a fence...of course it was in water, and on a rainy day..and I was 12.
