Armin has worked his ass off to get the #1 Spot, Tell me when PVD, Sasha, Carl Cox or Corsten have played Marathon Sets, the answer is that they havent yet. Armin Put out his yearly ASOT 2007, He does his weekly radio show, he has done a hell of a lot more the PVD has to earn the #1 spot. PVD new CD is Garbage compared to ASOT 2007 and ISOS6, I would by EOL much faster. The White Lies track is radio friendly audio ass vomit. Armin Van Buuren and Tiesto's Productions are much better than PVD who doesnt even DJ anymore, He Abletons his sets. That's weak as hell. wow, your opinion is garbage. first of all, uhhhhh, pvd, sasha, carl cox, and ferry have all been around for ages, so yes they have done marathon sets. just cuz they dont do them in your city doesnt mean they dont do them elsewhere. ive seen plenty of marathon pvd sets. 6.5 hours at the love from above in 2002 and 6 hours at wmc at space in 2003. secondly, you compare an artist album to a mix compilation. wow. thats garbage. asot is just a collection of new . most of it being garbage too. i agree white lies is crap, but nyc, complicated, sabotage, and some more are all really good ing tracks on the album. pvd did his to deserve #1. now he didnt deserve to win it in the years that he did. honestly i feel he shoudla won it in 2002-2003 but those years tiesto won. so pretty much pvd won when he did it cuz he deserved it other years. but at the end of the day its still just a retarded poll, with the obvious retarded results, because most of the people voting on the poll are retarded.
lets be real... the people who actually know about edm are not the majority of the community. and when you have a bunch of uneducated s voting on a poll, you're going to get whack results. case in point, oakenfold #12 and fedde le grand at #22. |

oooh asot 2007 .. BIG FREAKING DEAL. When was the last time AvB made a great tune? Armin is NOT consistent. PvD plays the same way OVERSEAS as he does STATESIDE.

PvD + MvL = awesome duo. PvD's big bang and PvD's re works are much better than anything Armin has produced/put out this past year.
The only reason he got #1 is because Dj Mag is becoming a life time achievement award.
I agree when PvD got #1 the first time.. He didn't deserve it.
It was about time somebody had to knock Tiesto out and after he was a no-show at the Dj Mag party the year before was the reason why I think they gave it to PvD. This year PvD has done alot.
Armin did not do one set [live. Not an ASOT set or a downloaded set] that was even mediocre. |
