Man, Blue Fear is one of my favorite tracks of all time. And yes, it did launch AVB's career. But with that... AVB really is a great dj technically, he's highly marketable, he has great stage presence, great production work, extremely popular radio show's, and he is one of the few trance dj's who actually play tracks that are diverse (ie, drops house and progressive house in his sets). And he's an extremely nice person (modest, appreciative, and down to earth).

With that said, the top 100 is a joke, I could write 2 pages why this is the case. In short, it's based on politics, money, pr, marketing, connections...

dj'ing is an art, not a sport, you can't rate dj's when there is no way for them to actually compete against one another.

And while I don't think he's "the best dj", Tiesto gets paid the most money and he is the one dj that can truly sell out shows anywhere in the world (by the thousands on any night of the week). Under those qualifications, Tiesto is #1.

^^^ But if trance/Armin hit the wall then why where you still going out of your way to see Armin IN 03,04, and 05, so your contradicting yourself saying trance hit the wall. Sad thing is think too many DJ's where playing the same records making overplayed never bearable to even listen again. Never liked Markus starting in 04 - Now

Good to see Armin Armin move up to the number 1 spot

David Guetta #10 :)

The S-Man #25 :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:

I stopped going to see Armin in early 2004 (@ the roxy)...I'd seen him perform many times prior to that and the fact that his track selection had very little variation from set to set led me to the conclusion that the guy had very limited talent and very little imagination...His sound is still the same as it ever was and his tracklisting is so predictable...

lol nice, "cheesehead reporting", i love it

whats with all the hate for big name djs by the way, its pretty pathetic. probably because a lot of you here are djs yourselves and it might irk you that they are so successful. maybe the top djs aren't the most technical, but they appeal to the most amount of people. maybe that means that being a top dj is more than just skill, and that a lot of people need to get over themselves and acknowledge that whatever it is that makes a good dj, they got it.

i saw tiesto at hammerstein and it was one of the best shows i've ever been to. there is a reason he's one of the best. pz

now why would it make sense for a dj to bash another dj....doesn't do anything for the reputation now does it? and it's not out of hate.....it's out of personal taste and views.......carry on
