The war goes in favor of the Eastern forces (Muslims, China and Poland) for awhile until the Western allies are joined by Russia and are finally victorious around the year 2012:

Ironically The Mayan calendar ends on 2012 (see wikipedia) and at the same time NASA says that the gravitational force of sun would flip causing a solar storm in 2012 (http://science.slashdot.org/article...7/03/21/1229247)...

Yeah right. Our calendar year was a bit off due to Great Emperor Hashflamablapfhten's foolish decree to issue evictions to all unregistered bandits in 1256 BCE. The misunderstanding came from his most trusted Astronomer and Political Advisor, High Abbot Njanktyuivghis, whose records were kept quite impeccable, and whose calendar was kept inhumanly accurate. When the empire of Hasflamablapfhtanizia fell to marauding Vandals, the transmission of their time-keeping was lost as well. However, that which was pillaged and brought back to the now-eminent Catholic church was High Abbot Njanktyuivghis' big surprise - an intentionally wrong calendar system, which the church promptly adopted in its ignorance and tried to pass of as its own! And that is why our calendar, the one we correspond with Mayan prophecies, is at least 73 years off its mark. |

Not sure how 50 times solar storm would affect.
Am no fanatic or believe in this, just bringing the point that 2012 is the date discussed since long. I am waiting for 2012 to see how true all this hype is (besides nostrp's prediction bla bla etc). |

Pretty much. I can't wake to wake up the morning of December 13th to be bombarded by "WE WERE STUPID, WTF WHY DIDN'T IT HAPPEN, MAYANS WERE WRONG, BLA BLA BLA BLA." Besides, they referred to future (though not precise) dates long past (see: 3,000 years) 2012 that would have certain events, so anybody who thinks we're all going to die is a complete and utter moron.
