Also what are the deals with club passes? I heard someone say that when you get there people try to sell you wristbands that get you open bar in tons of clubs or something? Anyone have any details on that?

last time i was in cancuun, one of the Ent. peeps at my hotel would take a group out to the club and for $35 you get transportation to the club, a table and open bar for the nite wich is a pretty good deal. He took us to one place and within 5minutes i was\nted to get out of there, he kept convincing me and my friends to stay but we said "No, take us to Daddy's O's" And so he did, skippd the line got a table next to 4 hot broads and to my surprise, those 4 girls were drinkin a bottle of Johnny Walker. Those girls were troopers

LOL!! Watch your back on everything.
I had a group of friends that went through a "legit" agency to get there hotel stay. Ended up being taken to a totally different hotel, they went from being in a 4 star hotel to a 2 star piece of . A room with double beds...as in 2 queen sized beds RIGHT NEXT to each other (no room in between each bed). Then the housekeeper claimed they burnt a hole in the comforter of one of the beds and tried to charge my friends $500 for the it. One of the girls friends mom's went to Wal-Mart and found the SAME exact one for $99, bought it and shipped it to the hotel. The hotel was unwilling to accept it and my friends basically told them to off and walked out.
Just one of the many horror stories I have heard by going through agencies. |

You should be fine if you're going through a legitamate Spring Break Agency such as STS (www.ststravel.com) or Student City. Don't worry about being scammed out of hotel rooms or anything like that, they're big companies and get things right.
If you get all inclusive, you can eat and drink as much as you want at the hotel. I would recommmend this at Oasis Cancun, their food is very good and there's plenty of bars available all day.
Buying your own alcohol is cheaper, but it becomes a hassle. The hotels have security that roam around the premises and if they see you with your own cooler of beer or bottle of liquor, they will take it away. Many have people stationed at the elevator to try and prevent you from bringing alcohol up to the rooms. It becomes a game of hide-n-seek drinking which isn't too much fun when you're trying to have a good time.
If you go through an agency, buy their party package. It will include passes for a club each night which includes admission and open bar. Pretty much every Spring Breaker down there will purchase their agencys' party package, so the places will be crowded. They're will always be people trying to scam you into something, so be on the lookout for anything shady.
And I agree, do not get on the wrong bus. It gets a bit confusing because there are so many, but I think the green buses are teh ones you want. They cost like $.07 and are quite the adventure when returning from the clubs at night...
And any pharmacy will take care of you for the right price... |

I am pretty sure Sasha/Digweed, PvD and others all played at The City a few yrs back right in the middle of march.
HOWEVER, do NOT use STS travel b/c they OVERBOOK flights/hotels and use charter flights. You will eb stuck in the airport for hrs. I was stuck in JFK for 24 hrs and lost almost 2 days off my trip and was not given a refund. Spend a little more and use Liberty Tavel and book a direct flight. You'll thank me alter.
As for the parties..those big compaies give you bracelets and their "DEALS" are lame (open bar from like 7-9) and they only at certain clubs and you see the same peopl in you little group over and over again. |
