I've never hit a woman and I never will

I have, and I would again. My friend's girlfriend at the time.

Now, before you all go off on me for saying such a thing, I should qualify that...

You see, she was always kind of known for being unstable, you know the type - very nice and sweet, but when that bipolar comes on, WATCH OUT!

Anywho, she got to yelling at me one day and I just calmly went about my business, which really got her going. Basically, she wanted me to leave his house while we were working on a project and we both told her that we needed to work. Reasonable, right? She goes outside and pulls the E-brake release on my Jeep, which was parked on a shallow hill in a residential neighbourhood. Upon returning to the house from my James Bond style sprint-and-save, we had words.
Suddenly, she stormed off into the kitchen and I heard the telltale sound of a drawer opening, a knife being removed and the drawer slamming shut. I stood up, cornered in his living room.

Now, I learned how to disarm people with edged weapons during my time in the army. I looked her very seriously in the eye and told her that if she came at me with it, she was going to die. Simple as that. She made a small lateral move, which was threatening in it's own right. I got inside her reach, controlled the weapon and using an arm bar and a stout whack to the back of the neck, put her on her knees with a good amount of force. I then left the house and threw the knife on the porch as I went. I feel it was a completely reasonable use of force considering.

Now I tell you, having seen the in her eyes, that if put in that same situation again I would most certainly hit a woman. I would punch my own mother in the face if she ever swung a knife at me.

They broke up, by the way.

Agreed. Now tell me, what did you do that made the girl hit you? :toothless

just a regular guy-girl "verbal debate". She had a temper and slapped me in the face pretty hard. Of course my first instinct was to raise my fist at her but, but I thought better of it, took a deep breath and walked out. Then she threw something at me that smashed...it was the end of a turbulent relationship. But then again, we were only 19. :p

Stupid bitch, she should have HUGE consequences fro trying to publicly defame and ruin his life like that by having him slapped w/ assault charges.

That can do SO much damage to a persons career, not to mention the possible jail time and/or fees.

God, I hate hearing about BS charges like this. Penalties for such actions really need to be stepped up. This shouldnt be tolerated even an inch!

thats black mail and extortion by the sounds of it....meh throw the bitch in jail for a few years, she will learn from that.

Neither of either sex should ever ask that question.

Imagine asking that question to a woman after she really has been hit. You're basically asking if she deserved it, and that's wrong. You can't ask a guy why she hit him either. It's not acceptable either way.

Hence the ":toothless" parlez-vous facetious? ;)
