| FLAC reduces file size by about 30% compared to wav but the whole point of FLAC is that it decodes into a bit-for-bit identical copy of the original wav. so FLAC isn't really better unless you can't afford storage. yes, I'll take it over wav if it's available, and definitely over mp3, but no it's not so much better to be worth spending any time searching for. |
