Exactly!!! and what they did to Gerard is super shady!! The only reason we found out yesterday is cause I called Pacha to get my 10% for my birthday which they sent ME an e-mail about offering. After I called them is when they called Gerard to let him know about the change. When I called the girl was like oh no, we don't offer the 10% for Armin (then why send me the e-mail) and that's when she went into where we were going to sit....all this from her about Armin is the number 1 DJ (I was like yea just voted but whatever) and tried to teach me about him LOL!!! I was like ummm we know who he is that's why we want to be on the mez level AND got VIP. Whatever, its taken care of and I still score a bottle of the bubbly for my birthday so its all good :)

| Pacha fell further down on my list...hard to believe that's possible right? Not going to let the VIP situation ruin the fun but the first opportunity that I have to tell management anything I'm going to be the bitch I know I can be. |

No, seriously learn how to read!!! Its the fact that we were told we would be in a certain place in the club for a certain price and had I not called about the additional 10% we would have never known we were not in that location and if we wanted the first spot we booked it could be $300 more. Do you really think we would be bitching about an additional 10% off?

I'll never step into that club ever again.
The worst clubbing experience for me was the night of PVD @ Summerstage. I had about 4-5 of my buddies from Boston that night and we wanted to go to Calderone for the afterparty. We waited in line for about 30 minutes and realized that it wasn't moving. Turns out all the crackhead FOBs were not being let in and the bouncers were pushing all the asians to one side and basically letting all the white people in. Yes, I understand that the FOBs bring bad business as they're only there to get fcked up but this was pure discrimination. Me and my friends are all asian/american, in our 20s and look nothing like these people yet they refused to let us in. Nonetheless, I'll never give those s another dime ever.
I've been to Pacha, Crobar numerous times and have never had a problem but that night was a real low point...quite sad to say the least.
Ended up being a blessing in disguise as we went to Rebel for the first time ever and had a blast. Can't wait for the 30th...

I got yelled at by management for having a beer while playing in the basement for 4 hours, a gig which I didn't get paid for despite me bringing like 40 people at the very least... I would normally say "hmm, maybe I deserved it, this IS New York City after all" but I knew (at the time, not anymore, since they don't go anymore) 16-18 year old girls hanging at the tables of all the management, on a weekly consistent basis (for Saturday nights, 21+), so ever since then, I've never had the same opinion of the club or the people who work there... And when I voiced my opinions on other forums (like a reply to a Pacha-haters thread), random "new members" popped up replying to me saying like I'm too young, I suck, I'm just another joke that thinks he can DJ... like at least 4 or 5 different RANDOM screen names who never post on those sites, with like 1-2 posts to their name... One person even said I look like a dork with my glasses, and then went on to plug in how amazing Pacha is, and promote the next two month's lineup haha... It was totally pathetic and OBVIOUS that it was Pacha staff and ever since then, I'll never look at it the same way... I go now and then to hear certain names, but doesn't mean I respect it or the management... (Crobar was a venue I respected, as well as the management, say what you want, but my 2 cents)... However, this is obviously directed at Pacha staff, not Made Event staff who doesn't preoccupy itself with making fake screen names to stop the hating (cos there's very rarely any "true" hating)... |
