Are people really buying into him as the newest, most MAXIMAL minimal producer on the planet right now? Or has Hawtin's positronic matrix blown a fuse with that extra hair on his scalp?

Not defending the guy, but Deep Dish were pretty popular. If that fanbase now supports Dubfire's attempt to be a serious artist, then i can understand some of the popularity. However unjustified.

I liked Deep Dish in their "Junk Science era"... After that I didn't cared much about them. Also, I kinda think that Dubfire's work now is much overrated. Probably because of "ex Deep Dish" adjective connected with his name...

In my opinion, he is cashing in on a sound that has already been done to death. All of his tracks are long and repetitive. You hear the same loop throughout the entire 8 minutes with other subtle sounds that come and go. Honestly, I don't mind that but guess what, we already have someone who does that brilliantly and that's Radio Slave. Thanks Dubfire, while your sound is good, we don't need a cheap knock off of the real deal.

his new track is such that i cant believe anyone is buying it and that its on the beatport top 10.
it sounds like the same ty loop over and over again. i cant believe people can get down to this. he just jumped on the mnml bandwagon and brought nothing new. i can see why he calls it minimal because he probably sat down for 5 minutes to come up with it. total shiite.
