yeah i'm gonna see both LA shows.
Mikey - LAX on sundays is DJ AM's weekly party. mostly a bunch of hipster-types there. they put a keg on the dance floor which is pretty funny. Steve Aoki is a resident and the Ed Banger-types will sometimes guest dj to give you an idea of the type of music. |

Interesting, so it may be hard getting in or is it a presale deal?
Thanks for the info! |

Someone is still letting Aoki around music? That's the equivalent of using a torch at the Special Olympics :wtf: |

i've seen him a couple of times. most of the time its been at places like Tao or whatever and i don't care for what he plays - too much of the hip hop without the skills of say DJ AM. having said that when he played before MSTRKRFT this spring at the Roxy he really brought the heat. |

i do think AM is good at spinning his particular style/genre of music. i think your comment is more directed towards your dislike for the songs he plays...i get that...i wouldn't hate on him for his musical choices - only if he sucks as a DJ which he doesn't. |

From what I've heard of AM he's not doing anything special. Just another Aoki-esque DJ getting gigs and being famous because of his name.
And because he was dating Nicole Ritchie. I knew I should have jumped on that boat :( |
