I am VERY tempted. I've been looking for an opportunity to go to a massive in Europe and this might be it.(although the USD is terrible right now...)
Are people flying in on Friday? Where is a good place to stay? I know those are very general questions and it depends on everyone's budget, but I'd just like to get a feel for how much this will cost, etc.
Also, I tried to see if I can get tickets to TE online and it seems to be sold out.

I'm exactly in the same boat as you dude... last time I checked the airplane tix both way + hotel for 3 nights were about 700.. and that's the cheapest ones, half an hour from where TE is taking place.
that is after a short browse, I guess you could find better deals...
as for tickets I think you still can get them...

I am most likely going to be taking Continental Flights 70 & 71 roundtrip from Newark to Amsterdam.
It's what we take every year, leaves Wednesday night, gets to Amsterdam Thursday first thing in the morning and then we leave there Monday at noon or something like that.
Still not sure where we're going to stay though. Probably a hostel somewhere near Damrak.

For those of you who cannot afford a hotel, like me:
This is a wonderful site with fantastic people that will treat you to another culture and way of life. I loved my host brothers when I visited the Netherlands years ago. And March would be my 5-year anniversary. But, I might have to go a few weeks early to catch this. Once Rob showed me that lineup, I almost passed out.
The cheapest flight I found was $387 direct JFK to AMS on NWA. I was gonna leave late Thursday night, then return Tuesday afternoon. It would be nice to have a plane buddy. I'm not definite, but it is getting to that point.
Oh, I couldn't get the tickets on the actual site. I doubt they're sold out, so is there another place to get them online? Thanks!
