I guess this would be some stuff that DJs like Luke Fair, Desyn Masiello, Deadmau5, Perry Oneil, 16bit Lolitas, Jaytech produces and plays.
Very trancey with happy vibe. In some cases, it's pretty much trance at 130bpm.
I don't think this will become extremely popular, but seems to attract both prog house and trancers. I know I'm attracted to to this stuff because well, it's got more trance elements than a lot of trance tunes these days. And it's bouncy, happy and fun.
What do you guys think of it? |

genres are merely words people make up when they're on drugs to describe a particular sound :p
Haha, but seriously, I enjoy this sound. Luke Fair is fabulous! |

People like you are the reason why the word 'progressive' is about vague as its gets in terms of describing a genre :p |

| I don't think this will become popular at all. I even think it is less popular than it has been over the last couple of years. DJ's have been transitioning back to the grittier sound. Sasha, Digweed, Hernan....all of these guys were playing a more "happy sound" a few years ago but have moved away from that. Even Desyn has become a lot grittier than previous years. I think we are years away from this trend happening, if it even does. |

I agree that this sound will never be quite popular and will be more of a niche genre for those house lovers who likes/used to like trance |

Is more prog trance than prog house.
Though with current fusion of trance and house makes it hard to tell apart what is trance and what is house |

I basically live in this genre. My playing style in a nutshell..
To those of you who dont think it will catch on - you should have been at Electronica Ice @ The Underground last friday. The crowd loved it. |
