I don't drop, so I just planned to dance, enjoy the music.

Music ing sucked, I don't like Happy Hardcore, Hard House, or Jungle.

Trance ing owns that .

But it was funny to see so many people totally ed up out of their minds, having dry sex on the floor, getting light shows and passing out, crazy ass costumes, etc.

It's like a Mardi Gras for E-tards.

However, the one thing I did notice, and no offense to anyone, because it's not a generalization, but everyone there was Asian or White, and almost 90% of the chicks were fugly. Some were good from afar, but far from good, knowhatimsayin'?

But everyone was friendly, and seemed to be having a good time, so I just kind of chilled and watched them have a good time.

But if I ever got like that, I'd want my friends to throw my ass in rehab.

That's kinda what the scene looks like here. I've seen a few pics of ppl just mangled on E. Like how can u have a good time if u don't even know what the is going on? I also agree, most of the chix i've seen are ugly, that i've seen anyways.

It's an incredible feeling I'm told, but I just don't want to get to that degree of ed up. I'm nervous about smoking weed too much (something I have never done more then once a week), and people who drop usually are open about how it's ed up.

They talk about how their memory is worse, they are dependent on it, they have mood swings, they can't control their emotions, and basically can't act and feel stable.

It's ing sad.

One of the friends buddies( I don't hang with this guy) averages about 20 caps a month and he can't even put together a complete sentence. I just him as an example when someone asks me to roll.

I've alwasy been able to control smoking and drinking, I enjoy it much more the less often I do it.

But this one friend of mine who used to just smoke, went all out. Stoages, then booze, then E all the time (4 or 5 pills a weekend), Coke, Acid, Shrooms, LSD, all that . Each weekend he'd tell me about all the drugs he took, and on an average weekend he'd smoke a QO of Pot, 3 or 4 packs of Stoages, 3 to 4 pills, and an assorted amount of Coke, Acid, etc.

This went on for about 6 months until he realized how ed up he was getting, and he checked himself into rehab.

Now he won't even smoke pot, because he told me that if he smokes weed, within a week he'll be doing coke. He can't control himself anymore. It's a ing gateway drug for him.

Damn, you guys have really missed out on where the music came from.

I know that raves are getting kinda lame because it's getting younger and more and more drugs are getting involved. But it's not just a "rave", it's suppose to be an EXPERIENCE.

I first exprerinced electronic music: trance, jungle, house, etc, at a rave and ever since then I always go to ones when I get a chance. Portland/Seattle scene was at it's peak when I first started going, and I loved it. Great times at the NAF, Indoor Soccer Center, Hockey Rink. I don't think I would be the same person if it wasn't for the rave scene. Trance and the "rave community has been a great factor in how I grew up and treated others.

If you guys/gals decide to go to a rave/party, just go with an open mind and not have those stigmas of what a rave is. Go to have a good time and experience the music you love. Ralphie B - Massive is just not the same until you heard it on a 30,000 watt system with 4000 other people. Clubs are cool to go a hear a great DJ, but raves are there to experience the music.

Have fun, that's all that matters.

Never. :o

raves are awesome

there's a production company in calgary that is notorious for their immense sound system and insane visuals

500,000 watts!!

OMG, this one show i went to.. you should've seen the speaker towers... the sub towers must've been almost 20 feet tall!!

anywho, nothing can beat the experience of a good party
especially if there's multiple rooms and multiple styles going on

and for the drug issue... i take E every now and then now... i used to do 3-4 pills a weekend, but then i took a look at myself and decided to cut down... now if i do it, it's only like once a month, if even that...

there's a thin line between use and abuse... i see people crossing that line at every party i go to... and this rampant drug abuse is what is killing our scene, people need to be more smart, they need to look at the reasons why they go to raves... is it to dance and have fun, or to see how many pills you can eat...

this is why in calgary they cut raves down from 8 a month to 8 a year...

do drugs, don't let them do you, stay educated...

Never been to a rave.

I am in love with the Music, not the culture.

I drink alcohol but i haven't been drunk for about a year and a half. I have never tried any drugs including weed. I don't mind people that do it and control it but i know if i started i would probably not be able to control myself and start using them all the time so i chose to stay away from them.
