| hey curly, you got that tascam? how's it working for you? |

| so far its been alright i guess. my other options besides this one were the Pioneer DJM600, Denon X1500, Allen & Heath Xone 62. The faders and knobs on this Tascam X-9 are plastic and feel a little fragile. I am still messin with the mixer and learning all the functions. I am somewhat annoyed with the effects on it...it has a bit of a lag on the response. And at this point I see no use for the 2nd knobs on each EQ (high-mid-low). I barely just got it so we'll see what happens with time. |

Just popped in over the last 2 weeks - Great Forum!
Saw matt darey yesterday- it was awsome but there was some slow times in the beginning.
Many people in the Forum seem to be saying trance is dying and what not. I'm not sure what everyone's beef is- I have a couple myself too. I hope we can keep the _good_ vibes going, give our fav DJs the good feedback and keep trance moving in the direction we want it to!
One for instance for me: last night the set got started really slowly because MD kept picking songs with those long dramatic pauses in the music. You could barely work up a frenzy before you were stuck in a long pause again. I do like those once in a while, but overall it's for the birds.
Just bought a bunch of stuff (including a bunch of Oakie) and looking forward to Matt's new Upfront CD.
Sinatra just mentioned Armin- he's playing this friday @ 1015 folsom in San Francisco. Looking forward to it.
Cheers!
