Ordering online during the Holidays is becoming quite popular. I want to start looking because I have no idea what to give my parents! -help-
I was wondering if you guys have any cute websites for Mom/Dad friends and family :)
I kinda want a gift basket for mom but somethign WITHOUT FOOD. Everything is chocolate, cheese or wine and the holidays are fattening enough as it is! So regular gift sites are welcome.
ie.. crate&barrel

Do you guys have those edible arrangment stores in the states? Assuming NY and FL have the same store ( that way your fruits are fresh). Basket usually comes with jams and a few other things as well. You can get fruit shaped flowers. It looks like a bouquet of flowers but everything is fruit.

Yes, I realized you said no food, but it's just fruit. Or you could send her a basket of all her favorite things. Like a home care package, but...reversed. Like jams, towels, stuff for the house..blabla. I mean she's a mom...she uses that stuff. |

Create your own basket for her. Go out and buy what you want to put in it, buy the basket, the wrap, etc. My dad does it for my mom every now and then and for whenever he donates something to an auction. Makes it a lot more personal than digging around on a generic site, imo. |

The animal sponsorship is a nice gesture but that's something I would be able to accept. Not hand out as a gift.
Unless I become a tree hugger. My parents would just think I went crazy or something. lol |

So i kinda wanted a gift basket with some real presents [doesnt look like it'll happen]
Maybe a gift basket with organic things are good as a side gift and then I can just send her a separate gift. ;) |

do you want one basket for both, or one for your mum and one for your dad?
Does your dad drink wine ect, could send him some bottles of wine or accessories, or sometimes you can get imported beer hampers, which always goes down well.
you could always get your mum some perfume/makeup packs (always hard finding perfume someone else likes) have a look here
otherwise i was thinking of getting my parents a digital photo frame this year so they can take down the awful photos on the wall of me. |
