Used to love this album, but it has been a while since I heard it. Flight 643 & Suburban Train were my favorites.

Great album! Best trance-album I own.

I just cant believe that the same producer could have produced this great album and then produced such unbearable cheese like his "elements of life" track, his "lovestoned" remix and that "lead-melody" in Dance4life!

It just cant be true! :conf: (different "engineers" anyone?)

Yeah, In My Memory was a superb artist album. Conceptually, it's not dramatically different than what he's done at other points infoar branching out into different styles is concerned, but this album pulled it off really well. From major dance floor stormers, to subtle, atmospheric productions, everything had a consistent hallmark of quality and thoughtfulness that has withstood the test of time extremely well.

One production that comes to mind is "Dallas 4 PM." I was rather indifferent to it at first, but it was upon closer listening that this apparently sparse and simple track just became really beautiful, and is probably my favorite on the entire album.

The remixes are pretty good too-

I had picked up the "In My Memory" and "Suburban Train" remixes releases some time ago, and the only one between both that I recall worth listening to again (and again) was Fade's Sanctuary remix of "In My Memory," which I also find to be better than the original.

Everyone except Rebel9 has missed the fact that Tiesto did not produce this by himself. As usual, this is an artist album produced by other people (very talented people) with Tiesto's name and face on the cover. Not to take anything away from it, because it's a great album, but don't suck Tiesto's dick just yet. He didn't produce it.

Just because we all didn't re-state it, doesn't mean we're ignorant to the fact that he didn't solely produce every track...

It's not like he just told someone "make this track" and forgot about it. I think he had a hand in a lot of the tracks, and I can tell you that "Flight 643" was largely his creation....as well as "Traffic"...kind of why they have a slightly similar sound. I think the little more melodic stuff he's had a little less to do with, but certainly he had some role. I think Tiesto has been and is..more of a DJ DJ, while Ferry and Armin are and have been Producer/DJs....

Traffic is a ty tune. I sincerly hope that it's not the only tune that Tiesto have produced himself.

I didn't miss it, infact I posted the discogs information in the original topic because it showed those who didn't know who he worked with. Behind every successful dj there is often producer(s) and engineers and that's the same from sasha, oakenfold down to mr sam or tatana. It's nothing new, but this album is still excellent regardless of who's name is on the front.

I'm pretty sure he did all that Da Joker stuff himself too.

OMG! :eyes:

That's all news to me. And i thought Tiëst0r would have been the God of all trance producers and make everything by himself from start to finish.
