fry them with some onions, grated cheese, and garlic salt. serve with sour cream. |

i rarely/never eat them with bacon..do you mean bacon bits or bacton strips on the side? |

Bacon bits. Real bacon though. I've never had them any other way!
Since I live alone and can't finish a whole pack of bacon in a week once it's opened, what I do is take 3 slice chunks and individually wrap them, then freeze them.
This way, all I have to do is take one small chunk of bacon out of the freezer when I need it and fry it up straight from frozen. It's really easy!
And yeah, for perogies I just cube the frozen bacon and toss it in a pan. Works great. Then I add my onions and some paprika. Heh.
I sometimes toss and fry them in seasoned bread crumbs too, for something a little different. |

Are they even called perogies if they don't have bacon on them? I would just call them potato and cheese thingies.
