| I'm all for anything that gets rid of the ma and pa shops.....bring on the big, lower price, we well everything stores so I can spend less time doing crap I don't want to do. |

I guess being raised in a place where there are nothing but corporations around .. you tend to miss them. Miami has nooo mom & pop shops. The closest Wal Mart to me in New York is 45 mins away. -tear-
Super WalMarts are fuking awesome. The only place where you can buy last min gifts and balloons and fresh flowers at 5 am coming home from a club and right on time for Mothers Day. |
did you know that walmarts florida stores have 12500 of its employees on public assistance of some sort?
seriously that video that tigerclaw posted talks about how most walmart employees are on public assistance due to the low wage and exorbitantly expensive healthcare. walmart employees pay almost as much as i did for healthcare and dental when i had a full on PPO! that was $210/month. walmart healthcare is $150/month for ONE person!
there were a lot of things in that video i had no clue about. was an interesting one. didnt realize it was so bad. i hate walmart even more. i would really recommend that video. |

well considering the fact that walmart decimates business in any city or town, why would you want walmart in your town? i know i try to support the small shops as much as possible. |

I umm really don't like mom and pop shops. They all look dirty to me here in NY.
I also don't like the fact that if I want something to eat there are hardly any known places to eat in the city that isn't baller status. [different topic]
If the ppl weren't working at Wal Mart then where would they be working?? It give opportunities for ppl to have plenty o jobs. 24 hours ftw.
When I was in highschool there was nothing like going to Wal Mart high as fuk. It was fun!!
