Yeah, but what really annoys me is ableton DJs that don't do anything more than if they had regular decks. Surely the point of Ableton is to use all of its features? not sit in the DJ booth checking your emails or playing solitaire while ableton does all the work for you. |

I really like the idiots who sit there and say computer djing is boring because the guy is looking at a screen. As opposed to, the amazingly fun to watch spectacle of some guy moving a pitch slider on a cdj .6 inches, cueing and pressing play?
LMAO. I've seen people look like they're having a time while playing off a laptop and guys who barely move playing records or CDs. The medium used is really damn irrelevant to how good the Dj is. |

| It depends, i find computer dj'ing boring as in i find myself less busy, but in regards to whatever the final product coming out of the speakers in the club the medium used to produce it has absolutely no relevance as long as it does the job. |

Just to act like all CD/vinyl DJs are so much more entertaining to watch is ridiculous.
Besides stop looking at the ing DJ and dance. |

| I agree, but to be fair to vinyl i do think it opens up more possibilities in terms of track selection. If you can play a bit of everything you deffo have a step up on the competition. People who pay good money to watch a guy twiddle knobs instead of partying make me lol hard. |

The point of using Ableton is because it's preferred for whatever reason the user has chosen. This is no different from using tables, CDJs, programs, vinyl emulation, whatever. Some people like to trigger beats and hi hats to make fresh beats, while other's like to reconstruct songs from smaller clips to remix a track live. There are people who like to mix in a more traditional method, but what's wrong with that? Nothing. |

But it means the DJ is not actually doing anything. It requires zero skill or experience. |
